YAY! We have been nominated for another award… 😀
A big thank you to Matilda from Matilda’s Journey. You can read about it here http://matildasjourney.com/category/shine-on-award/.
Hi everyone. After a small hiatus……5 weeks to be precise……I am back!
I’ve been up to some exciting adventures during this time. Peeps took me on a fishing trip….I visited my birth town…explored a vineyard… and made some new friends.
But the biggest news I want to share is that I can now swim!
From wading my paws in the water I have now graduated to swimming. And I have this fella here to thank. Had it not been for him, whom I chased into the water, I would have never known, that I can float! 😀
The lovely Miss Harper Lee from thek9harperlee nominated me for the Explorer Dog Award not so long ago. You can read about it here….http://thek9harperlee.wordpress.com/2013/09/06/exploring-the-possibilities/
I am very excited to be nominated for the award given that I am a self proclaimed explorer. 😉
Thank you Miss Lee. Woof Woof!
So here are the rules:
1. Link to the person (or dog) who gave the award to you and display it on your bloggy. DONE
2. Nominate up to five friends.
Miss Marple from The Adventures of Miss Marple – Miss Marple lives in London and is an explorer of the art world. She is a shining example of cultured canines!
Nellie from Diplomatic Dog – Have you heard of Astana, Kazakhstan. Well I hadn’t until I met Nellie. She loves to explore her city and shares some wonderful pictures.
Donna from We live in a flat – Donna lives in Singapore and is a true city dog like me. She loves exploring various haunts in her city.
Frankie and Beryl from Greyhounds can sit – I haven’t been to New Zealand but peeps say it is beautiful. Frankie and Beryl love exploring nature and their photos have some amazing nature backdrops.
TeKeela and Bailey from Snowieners – I have always been fascinated by Alaska. With all the snow who wouldn’t. TeKeela and Bailey love exploring the Alaskan wilderness and we love reading their stories.
3. Answer the following questions:
What is your favourite place to explore? Link to it.
Recently peeps took me on a road trip to Gold Coast. We stopped at various small towns and cities on our way. But my favourite of them all was Nambucca Heads. It had lot of secluded beaches and peeps took me to a few of them. Oh I so loved it. Peeps have promised to take me there again for Easter break. Can’t wait!
Have you ever found anything exciting/interesting whilst exploring?
Yes, as a matter of fact I have. My toys!
Hmmm… I wondered how it got there.
And then I found another one floating in the water.
I grabbed it and made a run with it!
What do you like to explore more, beach or park?
What do you think!?
What is your favourite post you have written? Link to it.
Definitely about my first road trip to the Snowy Mountains.
And guess what… I am going exploring again. This time to Tasmania! Peeps are taking me with them on their Christmas and New Years vacation.
Woof Woof and lots of tail wagging. 😀

Roy and I are super duper excited! It’s only been 7 weeks since Roy joined our family and starred on this blog. So receiving this nomination feels awesome!

Thank you Angel and Choas! Do visit them @ http://angelandchaos.wordpress.com/
Now before I get into the blogging award rules, let me warn you. I have been told that I am the queen of exaggeration. 😀 But I’ll try my best to keep this simple and short.

3. Nominate and notify a baker’s dozen sweet blogs for this award. To be done shortly
4. Answer 5 Super Sweet questions:
Cookies or Cake?
Cake please… and make that chocolate mud cake! There is cake shop nearby called The Red Mango Patisserie. They make the best Jamaican chocolate mud cake (A moist enriching double layer of dark Jamaican chocolate mud cake, mounted and finished with a dark chocolate ganache icing with the sides adorned by Kryptonite chocolate flakes). Howz that!
Vanilla or Chocolate?
Chocolate of course, but if it is ice-cream then Vanilla please!
What is your favorite sweet treat?
Tim Tams mate. For all the non-Australian bloggers, if you ever get a chance to have them, make sure you do. These are the best!
When do you crave sweet things the most?
When I’ve had something spicy.
If you had a sweet name, what would it be?

4. Share Seven Things About Yourself:
I am a nature lover, tree hugger, environmentalist and sustainable living advocate! In my current job I work with a bunch of like minded people trying to save one of Australia’s most polluted rivers.
Books are my God and reading is my religion. I am currently reading “Courting Samira” by Amal Awad. It is a super funny story of a young Muslim women living in Sydney. The book gives a perspective on the second generation Arab Muslim women in the Australian pop culture. If you love reading and enjoy chick lit, check it out at http://www.courtingsamira.com.
I am a budding knitter. My m-i-l recently visited us and gave me the knitting bug. Now I am trying to keep up the family tradition. Might have to start a blog on knitting soon. The blog would most likely be named ‘100waysknittingcangowrong’. 😉
People eat to live. I live to eat. I love trying new cuisine and delicacies. Greek and Chinese (Australian version) are my all time favourites. Rahul and I also like to recreate some of the new dishes we tried and loved. 9 out of 10 times it’s a disaster but that hasn’t stopped us! 😀 Our friends insist that we should participate in My Kitchen Rules. Sure, they would love the drama!
I am herpetophobic. I know, it’s an irony that I live in a country that has the most number of reptile species in the world, largest number of snakes/ poisonous snakes in the world and the world’s largest reptile lives here – the Saltwater crocodile!
The number one item on my bucket list is to travel to every corner of the world. I have been fortunate to have lived in 3 countries and travelled to 14 so far.
I am married to a man who has lived and worked in 6 countries. Australia is his 7th country. I always wonder, where next?
And now it’s time to nominate other blogs. Here is list of some of the blogs we love and follow.
Hope you enjoy these blogs as much as we do!
They forgot to type “completed” but who cares! I’ve finished puppy class and now ready to join manners class. Yoo hoo!
Happy Wordless Wednesday Everyone!

It’s been a week since we got Roy home. He is such a different puppy today. More confident and dare I say, boisterous too.
Achievements this week:
“I explored the apartment except the scareee kitchen“ (Roy is super scared of the kitchen and always comes till the door, jumps and runs away. It’s actually quite funny to see him do that)
“Visited the vet where I was such a well behaved boy“ ( a white cat had been on the table before Roy, so he was covered in white hair by the time we left. LOL)
“Got a glowing feedback from the doc on my health“ (yep, we were also told that he has great teeth)
“Made friends with 12 new people“ (Vin and Dan are his fav people. Vin gave him liver treats and Dan played heaps with him)
“Traveled in a car without getting scared“ (unlike the first day when we got him home, this time Roy happily sat in the car and enjoyed all the bumps and brakes)
“Learned to pee and poo on the newspaper” (8 out of 10 times it’s a bulls eye… Phew!)
“Had my first bath“ (Poor fellow was scared silly by the water)
“And most importantly, bonded with Rahul and Shefali” (Rahul is his master and I am his go to person to cuddle and sleep..hmph!)
Kudos my little fella. You did well.
PS – we are still working on the ‘sit” command and to respond to his name.
